We are so proud of our Destination Imagination teams who competed at State over the weekend! Destination Imagination is a creative, hands-on program that challenges students to use teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation to solve real-world problems through exciting team challenges. While our Capitol teams will not be advancing, we couldn’t be more proud of our Marshmallow Disaster DI team! They represented Capitol with creativity, teamwork, and heart. And they had so much fun along the way. Competing at the state level is an incredible accomplishment, and we celebrate all the hard work that got them there! However, we are proud to announce that the LHS DI-nosaurs Engineering Team placed 5th and will advance to Globals! We are so proud of this LHS DI-nosaurs Team, who gets to move forward. Congratulations to Kade Gregory, Melodie Demel, Ashlyn Baiza, Fabiola Hernandez, and Nathan Ellis! They will now take their creativity, innovation, and teamwork to the global stage to compete against the best from around the world! Thank you to all of the DI Coaches for all the time you have put into these amazing LISD kids!
