LOC @ The Wallace

During October, our LHS LOC students from Avery VanZandt's class worked with LHS Alumni and professional actress Kinna McInroe for "Yes, And! Improv for All!" presented at the Wallace Theater. While at The Wallace workshop, students demonstrated remarkable dedication by stepping out of their comfort zones and engaging in the exercises presented. Each week, they exhibited significant improvement in following instructions, maintaining eye contact, and interpreting their peers’ emotions and attitudes. Their confidence increased as they acquired essential life and social skills. During the final session, Kinna inquired about their key takeaways from the course. Hannah said, "It is acceptable to experience and express emotions," and this sentiment resonates with her peers. They all enjoyed utilizing their imaginations and building their social skills through improv acting.
