Mosaic Appreciation

Levelland is known as the "City of Mosaics." A mosaic is a 6000-year-old art technique in which cubes of glass tile are fixed in a pattern to make a work of art. You will see mosaics all over town! Pam Alexander has been teaching about the Levelland Mosaic Art around town and her students are learning how to make their own mosaic artwork in the library! They are learning about shapes and how they fit together. They are understanding patterns and are practicing their fine motor skills while using their imagination and decision-making skills.
