First Year Teacher Academy News.....

Levelland ISD hosted our New Teacher Academy today. We are so lucky to have this workshop to mentor teachers that others don't. Christi Peck, Christy Barnett, and Shannon Copeland do an excellent job of acclimating our new teachers to have confidence and be better in the classroom and in life! Today's activities were on how to manage stress. There is stress in and out of school, and we're teaching healthy strategies on ways to combat it! We all need tips on how to work smarter, not harder! Our LISD educators learned ways to have better time management & organization, excellent classroom management, find help, and remember self-care too! And there's an app for that! Our new teachers now have the Lead4Ward app that helps teachers with classroom climate, routines, engagement & building positive relationships. LISD is so thankful for this New Teacher Academy!
